If the hat fits

Oct 28, 2012

We had a perfect day at the Franklin Library today, sewing pillow cases, and getting care packages ready to be sent out for Christmas.

Lots of goodies for our soldiers. Cookies and more still need to get ready.
Thanks for looking.

Cedarburg Aug 26, 2012

The 4th Saturday of every month (except Dec) we meet at “Ye old school house quilt shop” in Cedarburg, Wi. Our creative leaders are Dick and Tink Linhart, they do a awesome job keeping track of everything. Check out thier facebook pages :)
We had a nice turn out for the quilting day, lots of talent and creativity. I can't wait until next month.
Here are some photos of the quilts that were completed for our soldiers. Sorry for the blurry photos, these quilts were beautiful and these photos are not doing them justice. I promise to have better photos next time.

Mr. Eagle

It is so much fun to see all the different ideas, patterns, color choices, ect. that everyone comes up with.

In June I went up to Madeline Island in Wisconsin for a weekend of quitling to work on some Quilt of Valor (QOV) projects. We had a great time and finished 3 tops.

Here is a photo of one of the finished quilts. This is pattern by BQ called Maple Island Quilts - how fitting we were on Madeline Island when we quilted these.

This quilt is made from orphan blocks using the same BQ pattern. Last weekend was the Midwest Quilt show in Oconomowac Wisconsin. The quilt was displayed in the QOV booth. A huge THANKS to Tink and Dick for everything they do for QOV .

The third top we completed that weekend we named Mr. Eagle, I will post a photo of that later this month.

I wanted to take a moment to share a quilt I am quilting for a friend.  The pattern is called If the hat fits. So here is a sneak peak.

Isn't this cute, the legs are free haning. This is layered and ready to quilt. I will be using Superior thread bottom line. I will update you on the progress.
Have a great day.
